Hay/Cotton Barn (old Hollingsworth Barn) - Greenville, SC

by Michael (Rustic Creek Barns)
(Greenville, SC)

This Barn has stood in Greenville County, South Carolina since at least 1902. That is the earliest date anyone can trace it back to, yet the original farm was a full functioning farm prior to that. It was part of an original homestead before being purchased by the J.D. Hollingsworth company in the 1920's.

The main barn is 28 x 30 with a lean-to on each side. One lean-to is 12x30 and the other is 10x30. Making a total of 30 x 50 (1500sf) on the main floor. The loft is 28 x 30 (840 sf) with 16 ft to the peak. Siding is old shiplap with some replacements being done over the years. Main bones are true 2x4 and 4x4 sawn timber. Loft joists are 2x10 and rafters are 2x6. Has all tin roof.

This barn was a community treasure, but due to urban growth it had to come down. The entire barn has been tagged and numbered for reconstruction.

Asking $12,000.
