How to find Stonemasons and Timberframers to Restore a 1798 Barn

Hi,

We want to historically preserve/restore a 1798 fieldstone and timber frame barn which is about 8 miles south of Gettysburg PA. Can you help me find the appropriate people in that area?

Any leads at all will be very greatly appreciated.

Best, Sherry

Thank you for your question!

The best thing to do is to contact your local barn preservation organization. A lot of states have them. Here is a link to the website of the Historic Barn & Farm Foundation there in PA.

Stone Masons and Timber Framers
by: Mike C

I think I can help. I am located in South Central PA. I am building a new timberframe barn and can give you a very good amish timber framer and several excellent stome masons experienced in barn restoration.

The timber framer also specializes in new and restoration of timber frames. e-mail me at [email protected]
