Old 65' x 85' Gambrel Barn Hudsonville, MI

My barn was built in the late 1800's as a hip roof barn and later changed to gambrel style. (We have old photographs of when this change took place.) Main beams range from 8-10" hand hewn; board and batten siding; cedar roof shingles with ashphalt shingles on top. Roof is intact and there is no interior damage. There is a loft above stable and above drive-thru section of barn. The farm of 212 acres was owned by my family since the early 1900's. During a threshing day in the summer of 1915 sparks from the steam engine blew onto the house and it burned down; however, the barn was saved.
