What's the value of vintage and antique farm equipment?
I've recently become involved with barn salvaging in Ontario and am finding vintage and antique farm equipment (log sled, feed grinder, plow.....) Do you know anywhere that I can get some kind of idea of their value?
Any help would be appreciated
You might want to look for an antiques auctioneer in your area, and see if they would do an appraisal. If you can take a look at what they normally sell. If they frequently sell farm antiques they would be a good source of information and you may even want to use their services as an auctioneer to sell the items.
Also you could contact a local farming or logging museum. They might be able to give you an idea of how much your antique farm equipment is worth. You may want to even donate one or more of your farm antiques, as a way to spread word about your new business. For a business to donate something of value that the local community can enjoy....
Well, what better kind of advertising is there than that?
Besides you will be helping to build a better community and we could all use more businesses and people like that!
